IT IS UP TO YOU TO CARE
FOR YOUR TATTOO PROPERLY!
Remove the bandage in 2-4 hours.
Gently wash area with mild soap and water.
Apply a small amount of hand cream or lotion.
No creams with aloe or medications and nothing oily or greasy.
Anything mild and creamy that you are not allergic to is good.
Apply lotion daily or whenever your tattoo feels dry.
During the healing process your tattoo will flake and peel.
Lotion prevents the tattoo from drying out.
Quick showering is okay, but get in and get out.
Don't soak your tattoo.
No sun, ocean, or chlorinated water until your tattoo is healed.
Healing time varies with the individual, usually 1-3 weeks.
Peeling skin is normal - don't pick or scratch it!
Let it heal naturally!
Make sure you are not allergic to the lotion you are using.
If your tattoo remains inflamed, weeps, or is noticably painful past the three week healing stage, contact your tattoo artist or see your doctor.
Ask a professional if you have questions or concerns.
AND FOR LIFETIME CARE ....
Always use sunscreen or sunblock on your tattoo,
as direct sun will eventually fade your tattoo.
Care and protection will keep the lines sharp and the colors bright!
