Established in 1976, Skin Deep Tattoo has been dedicated to providing quality tattooing and customer service to both visitors and locals for over 32 years.
We are one of the oldest businesses on Front Street in Historic Lahaina Town and we are the oldest Tattoo shop in Hawaii. We offer a variety of professional, talented artists with a broad range of specialties, as well as frequent guest artists that own or manage shops on the mainland. All of our artists have been published, and many have won awards in the US and overseas.
All artists are licensed by the State of Hawaii, which requires a written medical exam on sterilization and related skin disorders, as well as regular physicals and blood tests.
Skin Deep adheres to strict sterilization practices. We are regularly inspected by the State of Hawaii, all neeedles are single use, and our autoclaves are tested on a monthly basis.
Our studio is open and bright (privacy is available), with views of the Lahaina Harbor and the West Maui mountains. Front Street shopping and restaurants are right outside our door - and yes, we are a member of the Chamber of Commerce!
